Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Stock Custodian to manage postal stock, financial-service supplies, and accountable postal assets at a Military Post Office across multiple bases in the region.

You will process transactions with POS/RSS, maintain inventory records, support postal financial services, and ensure compliance with USPS, MPSA, DoD, and base requirements. U.S. citizenship is required; contract pending award.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years using USPS POS/RSS.
• Minimum of three years managing postal financial services.
• Experience managing postal stock and reconciling inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping.
• Excellent communication with customers and teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Must meet deployment requirements.
• Must pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage, safeguard, issue, receive, and reconcile postal stock.
• Use USPS POS/RSS to process transactions and maintain records.
• Support postal financial services including remittances.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Prepare stock records and financial logs.
• Report discrepancies and security concerns.
• Maintain secure storage for stock and instruments.
• Coordinate stock ordering and distribution.
• Train MPO personnel on POS/RSS use.
• Support customer counter operations and MPO activities.
• Ensure compliance with USPS, DoD, and base requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support surges and contingency requirements.
