Job summary

Anton Oilfield Services Group in Kuwait is seeking a Materials Engineer to manage techno-commercial support for procurement and maintenance teams. You will coordinate repairs, evaluate bids, manage spare parts, and ensure timely material availability using CMMS and ERP systems.

A strong background in mechanical/instrumentation/electrical engineering is required, with at least 8 years in relevant sectors. This role demands analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to drive cost efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, instrumentation, or electrical engineering.
• 8+ years techno-commercial experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or industrial sectors.
• 4+ years using CMMS, ERP, or inventory systems (Maximo, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and spare parts control.
• Experience in technical bid evaluation and vendor coordination.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and enterprise software.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide techno-commercial support to the procurement and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate the repair and refurbishment of major equipment and components.
• Liaise with operations, procurement, and stores to evaluate technical bids, resolve technical queries, and address material discrepancies.
• Review and manage spare parts requirements for new projects and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical specifications and documentation for material codification and procurement.
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of materials for shutdowns, overhauls, and planned maintenance.
• Verify material availability reports and provide regular inventory and procurement status updates.
• Maintain accurate inventory and procurement records using CMMS and other enterprise software.
• Support continuous improvement of inventory management and procurement processes.
