Job summary

Jumeirah Messilah Beach is seeking a Commis 2 to join the Bakery Kitchen. You will support the culinary team, uphold high service standards in a luxury hotel setting, and ensure food safety and hygiene across outlets.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in a five-star hotel environment, ability to work in a multicultural team, and solid international culinary experience. The position offers attractive benefits and a comprehensive service charge package.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the style of cuisine.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• General health & safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues to support culinary teams and maintain team spirit.
• Report accidents and sickness with clear details to the Chef de Cuisine.
• Identify and request assistance before breakdowns.
• Relay breakdown Information to the Chef de Cuisine to enable root-cause analysis.
• Respond to changes in the departmental function as needed.
• Act as an ambassador of Lateral service for the team.
• Adhere to safety procedures and food hygiene policies.
• Follow culinary standards for recipes, preparation and plating.
• Coordinate with the Stewarding Manager to maintain kitchen cleanliness.
