Job summary

Rose City Catering Company is seeking an experienced Italian cuisine chef to lead the Italian station, prepare pasta, pizza, risotto and grilled meats to the highest standards. You will ensure recipes are followed, supervise junior cooks and contribute to menu development.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management with 9+ years in culinary roles, including at least 5 years in Italian cuisine; English is a strong advantage. On-site role in Kuwait City.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management.
• Experience: Minimum 9 years culinary experience, at least 5 years in Italian cuisine; large-scale institutional catering preferred.
• Languages: English is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic Italian dishes including pasta, pizza, risotto, grilled meats and Italian sauces to high quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of fresh pasta making and traditional pizza dough.
• Manage and operate the Italian cuisine station independently and efficiently.
• Ensure dishes follow standardized recipes, SOPs, portion sizes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation across Italian menu items.
• Develop and suggest new Italian menu items and seasonal specials.
• Monitor and control food costs through proper portioning and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP food safety and hygiene standards.
• Supervise and train junior cooks assigned to the Italian station.
