Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an F&B Supervisor to oversee daily restaurant operations in Kuwait. You will lead shifts, coordinate service, manage guest needs and ensure compliance with brand standards while supporting cost control and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or qualification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Food & Beverage operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service in accordance with IHG brand and hotel standards.
• Lead and support F&B colleagues during the shift, including briefings, work assignments, scheduling and service coordination.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, professional and personalised service, responding to requests, feedback and concerns effectively.
• Maintain high standards of food and beverage presentation, service sequence, cleanliness and outlet readiness.
• Ensure colleagues are knowledgeable about menus, ingredients, promotions, allergens and hotel facilities and services.
• Monitor restaurant reservations, table arrangements and guest flow to maximise service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Support the training, coaching and development of colleagues, providing regular feedback and recognising great performance.
• Monitor cash handling, billing, POS transactions and shift closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel procedures.
• Assist with inventory, stock control, requisitions and equipment management while helping minimise waste and control operating costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety requirements, reporting and addressing concerns promptly.
• Work closely with Kitchen, Stewarding, Banquets and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest experiences.
• Support special events, promotions, functions and other F&B activities as required.
• Handle guest complaints and service recovery professionally, escalating significant matters to management when necessary.
• Promote a positive team environment through effective communication, colleague engagement and recognition.
• Assist F&B management with reports, administrative tasks and other operational responsibilities as required.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll have:

• Diploma or qualification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
• 4 years previous experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably within an international hotel environment.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of restaurant service standards, food and beverage operations and guest service.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• A guest-focused mindset with the ability to handle complaints and service recovery professionally.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling and basic F&B cost‑control practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced operation and remain organised during busy periods.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to operational requirements.
• Good written and spoken English is required; Arabic language skills are preferred.
• A positive, hands‑on and team‑oriented approach with a passion for hospitality.
