Job summary

Amentum seeks a Field Site Supervisor for the Persistent Surveillance Systems-Tethered (PSS-T) program to lead O&M staff at OCONUS locations and serve as the main customer liaison on site. You will perform Flight Director duties including directing aerostat launch, flight operations and post-flight checks.

Responsibilities include maintaining spares, coordinating logistics, preparing reports, and ensuring safety and operational readiness in a harsh environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or aviation field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Five years of experience in technical or aviation field operations and maintenance with personnel leadership.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Active Secret US Government Clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Passport valid for at least 6 months, preferably one year.
• Supervisory/Leadership experience.
• Knowledge of hardware systems operations and fault detection/correction.

Responsibilities

• Manage site O&M staff and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Coordinate flight operations and maintenance activities with customer and site leads.
• Prepare and submit site operation reports including status, flying time, downtime and logistics.
• Identify and resolve technical problems; support hardware and software diagnostics.
• Direct weather assessment, pre-flight checks, aerostat launch, flight monitoring and post-flight maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and site procedures.
• Interface with Field Managers, Program Manager and ILS Manager; perform other duties as assigned.
