Job summary

Digitus_Group is seeking an Electrical Manning Technician to provide hands-on operational coverage of the data center's electrical infrastructure. You will perform routine inspections, first-line maintenance, equipment monitoring and alarm response under the Electrical Engineer's direction.

You will execute switching and isolation per approved procedures, support DG operations, and ensure adherence to LOTO, arc flash safety, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance.
• Experience in data centers or other critical facilities is preferred.
• Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams and follow written procedures and work instructions accurately.
• Ability to safely perform field-based inspections and hands-on maintenance activities.
• Basic written and spoken English sufficient for maintaining logs, understanding work instructions, and communicating clearly over the radio.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine rounds and inspections of HV, MV, LV switchgear and related equipment and record operating parameters.
• Execute electrical switching, isolation and restoration strictly per approved procedures and engineer authorization.
• Perform first-line preventive and corrective maintenance per MOPs and job cards.
• Support diesel generator operations through daily checks and readiness inspections.
• Respond to electrical alarms, trips and faults and escalate as required.
• Inspect equipment for overheating, loose connections, abnormal noises, odors and damage; report defects.
• Assist electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity and breaker tests under supervision.
• Escort OEM and vendor teams during servicing and maintenance under engineer supervision.
• Maintain compliance with LOTO, arc flash, permits to work, SOPs, MOPs and EOPs at all times.
• Maintain shift logs, readings, checklists, handover records and job card closures.
• Carry out all activities to preserve electrical system availability, redundancy and safety.
