Job summary

Digitus_Group is seeking a BMS Coordinator to operate and coordinate the Building Management System (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS), and DCIM platforms within a data center. You will ensure continuous visibility of site conditions, effective alarm management, and reliable system integration across ELV systems.

The role requires 4+ years of hands-on experience with BMS/EPMS/DCIM, knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and SNMP, and strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with BMS, EPMS, and ELV systems in data centers or critical facilities.
• Hands-on experience with BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain BMS, EPMS and DCIM platforms and ELV systems.
• Manage alarms with escalation, notification, and incident response.
• Monitor trends in system parameters, energy consumption and capacity.
• Coordinate with UPS, generators and chillers for system reliability.
• Prepare capacity and energy reports for site management and customers.
• Coordinate with vendors and supervise maintenance activities.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance of controls and sensors.
• Follow change management procedures and SOPs/MOPs/EOPs.
• Maintain SOPs, MOPs and EOPs for controls scope and spare parts plans.
• Coordinate with Facilities, IT and Security to support system availability.
• Assist in audits, testing and integrated systems testing.
• Maintain logs and handover records for 24/7 operations.

Job description

The BMS Coordinator is responsible for operating monitoring and coordinating the data center s Building Management System BMS Electrical Power Monitoring System EPMS Data Center Infrastructure Management DCIM platform and associated Extra-Low Voltage ELV systems The role serves as the central coordination point for these systems ensuring continuous visibility of site conditions effective alarm management reliable system integration and timely operational reporting to operations teams management and customers

Key Responsibilities

• Operate monitor and maintain the BMS EPMS and DCIM platforms and associated ELV systems
• Manage alarms including response in accordance with approved escalation procedures alarm rationalization and timely incident notification to the operations team and management
• Monitor and analyze system parameters trends capacity utilization metering data and energy consumption
• Maintain and verify system integrations with critical infrastructure including uninterruptible power supplies UPS generators and chillers
• Prepare operational capacity and energy reports for site management and customers
• Coordinate controls and ELV vendor maintenance activities and supervise vendor work
• Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance of controls sensors meters and ELV systems
• Follow approved change management procedures before implementing system modifications and comply with Standard Operating Procedures SOPs Methods of Procedure MOPs Emergency Operating Procedures EOPs and work permit requirements
• Prepare and update SOPs MOPs and EOPs for the controls scope and maintain spare parts plans
• Coordinate with Facilities Electrical Mechanical IT Security and external vendors to support system availability and incident resolution
• Support audits testing commissioning and integrated systems testing
• Maintain accurate operational logs incident records maintenance documentation and shift handover records to support continuity across 24 7 operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with BMS, EPMS, and ELV systems, including experience in data centers or other critical facilities.
• Hands-on experience with major BMS, EPMS, and DCIM platforms and integration protocols, including BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear operational and technical reports.
