Job summary

Palms Agro Production Company is seeking a hands-on Chief Accountant to lead the entire accounting function in Kuwait City. You will manage a professional accounting team, oversee monthly and year-end closings, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and Kuwaiti regulations.

You will collaborate with the CFO and other departments, drive process improvements, and ensure audit readiness. The role demands strong leadership, project accounting expertise, and the ability to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience in a senior role.
• Mandatory experience in construction, contracting, engineering, infrastructure, maintenance, landscaping, or other project-based business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full accounting function and daily operations.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team (Senior/Junior Accountants).
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses.
• Ensure IFRS, Kuwait regulations, and tax compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to auditor queries.
• Improve internal controls and accounting policies.
