Qualifications

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg/Reuters or similar platforms; advanced Excel; familiarity with Access is a plus.

A leading investment and asset management organization in Kuwait is seeking an Assistant Manager, Brokerage Operations to join its Operations team. This role is responsible for supporting critical back-office investment operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of transactions, reconciliations, corporate actions, and client reporting while maintaining the highest standards of operational control, compliance, and client service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding client assets, maintaining operational efficiency, and coordinating with internal stakeholders, brokers, custodians, banks, and other external counterparties.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain investment transactions, including trades, cash movements, dividends, securities transfers, and other portfolio-related activities, ensuring accuracy and timely system updates.
• Review trade instructions and confirmations, validate transaction details, and accurately record transactions to ensure timely settlement and portfolio updates.
• Perform regular cash and securities reconciliations across custodians, brokers, and counterparties, investigating and resolving discrepancies to ensure the integrity of records and safeguarding of assets.
• Monitor and process corporate actions, ensuring timely communication, accurate record updates, and receipt of entitlements, distributions, and related payments.
• Maintain organized operational records and documentation to support audit, compliance, regulatory, and client servicing requirements.
• Prepare accurate and timely operational, client, management, and regulatory reports while ensuring data integrity and compliance with reporting requirements.
• Identify operational issues and exceptions, escalating matters as appropriate to ensure timely resolution and effective risk management.
• Respond promptly to operational inquiries by coordinating with relevant stakeholders, preparing correspondence, and providing supporting documentation to ensure a high level of service.

Requirements:

• 5-6 years of experience within investment operations, asset management operations, custody operations, securities operations, or a related operational function in a financial institution.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of investment operations and financial markets.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, securities, and market benchmarks.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with Bloomberg, Reuters, Zawya, or similar financial information platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Access or similar databases is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer oriented and able to manage workflow effectively
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
