Job summary

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait in Kuwait City seeks an experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead a team of branches operations officers responsible for transaction processing across the area.

You will ensure high quality processing, provide operational support to branches and sales teams, train staff on new procedures and communicate change initiatives.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, risk identification and mitigation, and ongoing improvement of procedures to maintain quality and control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or management.
• 7 years of banking sector experience.
• Experience in a branch operations role.
• Experience of settlements and operational techniques and processes.

Responsibilities

• Processing: Ensure high quality processing, data and documentation. Advise branches on errors, omissions etc. and ensure these are corrected.
• Support to branches: Provide operational support to branches, direct sales and alternative sales teams.
• Communication: Communicate operational issues, explain change initiatives and provide training to staff to cover knowledge gaps.
• Procedures: provide recommendation to update and amend procedures as per business and compliance needs.
• Control: Monitor the implementation of policies, procedures and internal controls across branches.
• Compliance: Ensure branches are in compliance with all the regulatory through set control possesses.
• Risk management: Identify risk and escalate risk issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Risk mitigation: Propose & ensure implementations for the solutions to risk issues.
• Audit: Ensure branches are resolving, not repeating audit findings, investigations and taking required actions to solve related issues.

Job Purpose

Generic Accountabilities

1. People Management Manage, motivate and develop individual employees and the team in line with people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures.

2. Corporate Governance and Compliance Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations and ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks
