Job summary
Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library is hiring a part-time Library Senior Associate in Youth Services. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you'll assist young children and families with library materials and technology. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality customer engagement, instructing on services, and maintaining library policies. A high school diploma and one year of customer service experience are necessary. The position runs from May 26th to August 1st, with 20 hours per week scheduled from Tuesday to Saturday.
Qualifications
- One year of customer service experience is required.
- Multi-lingual fluency in English and at least one other language is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with library materials and digital resources.
- Instruct customers on locating and checking out materials.
- Ensure adherence to library policies for a safe environment.
- Maintain scheduled hours and arrive promptly.
