Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience required.
• Experience in a library, academic setting, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong communication and tech skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day supervision of library lending service operations and maintains student-centered service.
• Supervises staff and student workers, assigns work, and monitors performance.
• Collaborates with the Assistant Director to train, onboard, and coach staff.
• Coordinates workflow and service desk coverage; escalates complex issues as needed.
• Ensures accurate circulation activities, including lending, returns, and reserves.
• Implements procedures and workflows to support a student-centered environment.
• Delivers front-line customer service and resolves patron inquiries about circulation and access.
• Assists with compiling operational statistics and reports for lending services.
• Supports projects and service improvements within the Lending Services unit.
• Participates in meetings and campus activities to support library goals.
• Makes purchases for the team and tracks transactions per P-card policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
