Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in an academic or public library.
• Experience in customer service or public facing roles.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet scheduling expectations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with interlibrary loan operation.
• Commitment to equitable access to expertise, support, and resources.
• Commitment to teamwork in a library setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the library’s primary service point.
• Manages resource sharing (interlibrary loan, document delivery, collegial agreements).
• Processes interlibrary loan requests daily and generates reports.
• Oversees stacks management.
• Answers routine questions about library services and policies.
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates up to 20 student employees.
• Coordinates library outreach and engagement initiatives and early-semester programming.
• Acts as Building Captain for safety planning and emergency procedures.
