RINA is currently recruiting for a Sustainable Agriculture and Agro Energy Project Manager to join its office in Genova or Milano, Italy within the ESG and Sustainability Project Management Division.

Mission

The ESG & Sustainability Business Unit of RINA, within the Energy Business Line, is seeking a highly motivated person to support the team in the project management of international projects focused on sustainable agriculture and agro-energy, and in the preparation of related proposals for business development. The successful candidate should have a strong interest in sustainability, agronomy, bioenergy, energy transition, decarbonization, circular and green economy topics, possess good communication skills, and demonstrate a strong teamwork attitude.

Key Accountabilities

The new resource will be part of the team addressing sustainability challenges in a new company business focused on sustainable agriculture and agro-energy. Responsibilities include:

• Working with experienced project managers, technical experts, and business developers to manage the entire project lifecycle as the main client contact (private clients, public institutions, and international donors).
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities, coordinating technical proposal elaboration, and preparing cost estimates.
• Managing the delivery of consulting projects in sustainability, focusing on sustainable agriculture and agro-energy, by coordinating international multidisciplinary teams of technical experts efficiently.
• Developing project plans to ensure timely completion of deliverables within scope and deadlines.
• Monitoring project budgets, managing invoicing, controlling costs, and reporting on budget variances.

Experience and Requirements

• Master’s degree in environmental engineering, energy engineering, or management engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in the sustainability field.
• Project management experience is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to produce well-structured, concise, and well-reasoned reports and proposals.
• Availability for business trips within and outside the EU.
• Proficiency in Office suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Managerial aptitude and capacity to satisfy demanding clients.
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
• Proactive approach, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Positive, result-oriented attitude.
