Moog Italiana, founded in 1975 and part of Moog Inc., a world leader in high-performance motion control solutions, is researching candidates for the position of:

The resource will be in charge of designing Ball and Roller Screws based on customer specifications and drawings.

The scope includes providing technical support to Moog Applications groups and external customers in developing special applications where ball and/or roller screws are key components. This involves researching and developing new designs, defining technical choices and special processes for manufacturability, participating in testing campaigns, and data analysis.

The resource is expected to work with a good level of autonomy, aligning with the company strategy and supervisor’s guidelines.

1. Define task priorities with the supervisor and manage their execution within the scheduled timeframe.
2. Design standard and customized products responding to customer needs and Moog’s quality standards.
3. Perform mechanical engineering calculations to support product design and projects.
4. Bring new products to production successfully and provide technical documentation to manufacturing promptly and accurately.
5. Collaborate with other Moog technical and application groups and external resources (suppliers, test labs, consultants) for product development.
6. Apply Moog standards and procedures in task execution.
7. Contribute to improving current design and development tools, standards, and participate in lean projects.
8. Provide daily support to production to solve problems, improve quality, and reduce costs.
9. Support sales in technical customer management and proposing suitable solutions.

• The resource may visit customers or suppliers to gather technical data, understand needs, or address special requests.
• Participation in special projects and activities at other Moog locations may be required, involving coordination in a multicultural environment and travel.
• The incumbent must organize short-term tasks with supervisor support for defining priorities and handling complex projects.

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of progressive experience in mechanical construction.
• High level of mechanical knowledge and familiarity with product development processes.
• Proficiency in English.
