Our client, a trusted partner of European governments and international organizations with over 30 years of experience, specializes in IT and space services, supporting Earth observation missions, data processing, and applied research. We are seeking a Software Developer for Space Missions in Rome.

• Oversee processes of data harvesting, ETL, and aggregation within the data warehouse system.
• Conduct data mining and analysis to identify and address system anomalies.
• Support conversion of satellite data to EO-SIP format by developing new converters.
• Update existing converters for compatibility and functionality.

• Secondary school diploma or higher.
• 1-3 years of proven experience.
• Experience designing and developing interfaces between multi-systems.
• Programming skills in PL/PostgreSQL, Java, and/or Python.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Knowledge of data processing and transformation.
• Good command of English (B1 or higher).

• Linux OS and shell scripting.
• Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau).
• ETL procedures and monitoring tools like Nagios.
• Experience troubleshooting and upgrading software.
• XML/XSD knowledge.
• EO data products experience.

• Proactive problem-solving.
• Responsibility and success-oriented attitude.
• Excellent customer liaison and team spirit.
• Curiosity and sharpness.
• Availability to travel within Europe.
• Ability to work in an international environment.

Location: Rome, hybrid mode (2 days on-site, rest remote).
