Job Title:IT Support Engineer – End-User & Infrastructure Services
Location: Rome (Anagnina Area), Italy
Join our client’s elite technical team in Rome, supporting key activities for European space programmes. The company is a long-standing partner of space agencies and institutions, with deep expertise in IT systems, operations, and engineering support for ground segment infrastructures.
We are looking for a motivated IT Support Engineer who is eager to start or strengthen their career in a dynamic, international environment.
You will join our client’s high-performing IT department, ensuring the functionality, performance, and support of end-user IT services.
A B2 level of English is required.
YOUR TASKS
Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for end-user devices, workstations, printers, video conferencing tools, and office IT equipment (on-site and remote).
Manage incidents and service requests from start to resolution, including ticket tracking and escalation when needed.
Coordinate with internal SMEs and third-party vendors for timely issue resolution and equipment procurement.
Assist with Asset Lifecycle Management: procurement, tracking, inspection, deployment, inventory, and disposal of EOL items.
Prepare and deploy laptops, mobile devices, tablets, peripherals, and video conferencing tools.
Contribute to IT projects through support during design, implementation, and early operational phases.
Document solutions and update internal knowledge databases to promote long-term issue resolution.
Propose and support automation and workflow improvements to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years of direct experience in IT end-user support or technical operations.
Strong knowledge of:
Microsoft Windows and Office 365 suite.
Device and identity management tools: Active Directory, Entra ID, InTune, Defender, Autopilot.
Polycom video conferencing systems and related equipment.
Fluent in English and preferably one of the official languages of the country of assignment (e.g., Italian).
Preferred:
Hands-on experience with IT asset lifecycle processes.
Good documentation and process standardisation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support users, coordinate with vendors, and contribute in a matrixed international team.
Proactive mindset with a customer-centric approach and attention to detail.
