The City of Attleboro is hiring two Maintenance Craftsman/Laborer positions in the Water Department. You'll perform manual labor in construction, operation, and maintenance of the city's water distribution system and related public works operations.

Candidates must hold a Massachusetts CDL Class B and obtain a D2 Water Distribution License within two years of hire. The role involves operating large trucks and various equipment, with duties including meter work, leaks repair, and snow removal

Qualifications

• Valid MA CDL Class B is required.
• D2 Water Distribution License or ability to obtain within 2 years of hire.
• Ability to perform unskilled/semi-skilled manual labor and operate related equipment.

Responsabilités

• Perform manual labor related to water system construction, operation, and maintenance.
• Lay and connect service pipes to street mains and water meters.
• Install, repair, and test water meters.
• Locate and repair water leaks.
• Install fire hydrants and operate water gates for new connections.
• Operate trucks and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Assist with snow and ice removal programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
