Job summary

UL Solutions Water Systems EMEA is seeking an engineer focused on Drinking Water applications. A degree in a relevant technical discipline and English fluency are required.

The role involves client interactions, testing at client sites, developing test programs, and coordinating laboratory activities within a multidisciplinary team. Travel to client sites may be necessary; the position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including annual bonus and flexible working arrangements in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory testing apparatus and techniques common to the appropriate discipline.

Responsibilities

• Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available data, and product construction.
• Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites and initiates communication with clients.
• Follows up on contacts from clients and discusses technical issues, UL procedures and requirements.
• Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.
• Establishes test programs by reviewing files, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.
• Coordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing work, and setting completion dates.
