Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Warehouse Operations Leader in Italy to oversee efficient materials flow supporting manufacturing and supply activities. You will manage warehouse staff, ensure GMP/GDP compliance, and drive continuous improvement across processes, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities include leading daily warehouse operations, securing timely supply of materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to sustain business continuity while leveraging SAP and digital tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences)
• Solid experience in warehouse/logistics operations, preferably in regulated industries
• Fluent in Italian with good English and strong communication with international stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations for receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished products
• Ensure continuous and timely supply of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods
• Manage resources, workload prioritization, and performance to meet service, quality, and productivity targets
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams fostering high performance and accountability
• Ensure GMP/GDP/HSE compliance and maintain an inspection-ready environment
• Oversee inventory management, traceability, and inventory control processes
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean initiatives, and operational excellence programs
• Support automation, digitalization, and SAP-enabled warehouse transformation projects
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, and external providers
