Job summary

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts in Milan seeks an attentive Food & Beverage ambassador to serve guests, escort to tables, and deliver orders with courtesy and efficiency. You will help maintain restaurant cleanliness and operate with BVLGARI standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of restaurant.
• Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections and corresponding glassware.
• Know characteristics of wines/champagne by the glass and major wines on the list.
• Know menu selections, preparation methods, ingredients, quality standards, appearance and serving temperature.
• Abide liquor regulations and avoid service to minors or intoxicated persons.
• Maintain knowledge of Micros and manual systems.
• Complete opening duties as assigned.
• Ensure correct silverware is placed for each course in a timely manner.
• Direct guests to restrooms per BVLGARI standards.
• Check and replenish beverages; retrieve orders from kitchen and serve to guests.
• Open and serve wine/champagne bottles; prepare and serve coffee/tea.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with a smile.
• Maintain positive guest relations; be familiar with hotel services and local attractions.
• Handle guest complaints following pacification procedures to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of station and service areas.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies.
• Complete closing reports and hand over to Manager.

Job Overview

Service guests, escort guests to table when appropriate and offer to deliver food orders to guest tables according to hotel specification, courteously and efficiently. Also assist in the maintenance, cleanliness of the restaurant area and equipment.

QUALIFICATION

Other Duties

• Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel's standards of service.
• Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room at all times.
• Take reservations and maintain reservation system. Adhere to all payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the operation.
• Answer the telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in departmental standards
• Take, record and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations as specified in departmental standards
• Support the F&B Manager with administration duties and menu engineering.
