bioMérieux Italy R&D is seeking a role focused on developing innovative hardware solutions for next-generation diagnostic instruments. You will work in an international, multidisciplinary team, contributing to debugging, prototype assembly, qualification, and verification activities.

Ideal candidates hold a scientific degree or have substantial lab equipment testing experience, with strong English skills; French is a plus.

In bioMérieux Italy R&D Department, the person in charge of this role contributes to the development of innovative hardware solutions (Instruments & Embedded Software) supporting the creation of next-generation diagnostic systems.

Working within an international and multidisciplinary environment, he/she is actively involved in debugging, prototype assembling and qualification, integration and verification activities, playing a key role in transforming innovative concepts into reliable healthcare solutions.

Principali Incarichi

• Participate in feasibility activities for new product development and research studies, also in partnership with external research organizations and partners.
• Guarantee effective interfacing with internal stakeholders and global engineering teams (Hardware & Software) to leverage synergies, common scopes and interfaces.
• Participate in prototype assembling and qualification activities.
• Perform testing activities within the R&D Department for instruments under development or under feasibility evaluation.
• Participate in the debugging phase of new products, contributing to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Perform Design Verification activities on new products (Instrument level), ensuring that Product Requirement Documents and Technical Specifications are fully met.

Education & Experience

• University Degree in a scientific field or, alternatively, at least 5 years of experience in laboratory equipment testing.

Skills & Qualifications

• Competence in IVD and Medical Device technologies and product development.
• Ability to work effectively in local teams as well as within a complex international environment.
• Good working knowledge of English; French is considered a plus.
• Proactive attitude, hands‑on approach and strong problem‑solving mindset.
• Curiosity, flexibility and willingness to contribute to innovation projects.

Annual Salary Range 31.000 - 35.000 according to the experience level
