Agilent Technologies Inc. is seeking a motivated Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer to join our Vacuum Technologies R&D team.

You will design, develop, verify, and validate dry scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps, focusing on structural and rotodynamic analysis to ensure performance, reliability, and durability throughout the product lifecycle. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across design, manufacturing and product management, performing simulations, experimental validation, and

Competenze

• Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4+ years in mechanical product development, analysis, or validation.
• Experience in rotating machinery or electromechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and FEA.
• Proficiency with CAD and structural simulation tools; ANSYS preferred.
• Knowledge of rotordynamics and vibration analysis.
• Experience with experimental testing and data acquisition.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps.
• Perform structural analyses using FEA to evaluate strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and reliability.
• Conduct rotodynamic analyses to assess vibration behavior and dynamic stability.
• Plan, execute, and analyze experimental validation activities.
• Support noise and vibration investigations through data acquisition and analysis.
• Develop test plans, analyze results, and generate reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and drive improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical methodologies and testing capabilities.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to field issues.
