Agilent Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer to join our Vacuum Technologies R&D team.

The role focuses on design, development, verification, and validation of dry scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps, supporting new products and sustaining engineering. You'll perform structural analyses with FEA, run fluid dynamic and thermal simulations, and validate results through experiments, contributing to product performance, reliability, and durability in a multidisciplinary,

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in mechanical product development, analysis, or validation engineering.

Mansioni

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps.
• Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to evaluate strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and reliability of components and systems.
• Support fluid dynamic and thermal analyses to evaluate flow behavior, heat transfer, and overall product performance.
• Plan, execute, and analyze experimental validation activities to correlate simulation results with physical testing.
• Develop and perform tests to verify structural, fluid dynamic, and thermal performance.
• Support noise and vibration investigations through data acquisition and analysis.
• Develop test plans, analyze results, and generate technical reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and drive product improvements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation methodologies, testing processes, and product performance.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to field and manufacturing issues.
