Job summary

IKEA in Lombardy is seeking a Facilities Manager responsible for the lifecycle of facilities, safety, compliance and operations to support the business, colleagues and customers. You will drive maintenance, supplier coordination, budget forecasting and long-term planning.

You will implement sustainable efficiency initiatives, digital solutions, and governance of supplier contracts while developing the team and aligning annual goals with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or property management within corporate settings.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control abilities.
• Knowledge of FM frameworks, safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure long-term planning, budget estimation, execution, follow up, forecasting and reporting within the FM scope.
• Implement and evaluate supplier contracts at unit level in alignment with internal governance structure for supplier contracts to improve efficiencies/costs/equipment and quality.
• Coordinate external suppliers on unit level and manage relationships with business owners to meet needs and set annual goals.
• Develop the team’s competence, performance and ensure a succession plan within the unit.
• Maintain awareness of all FM frameworks, guidelines and initiatives among colleagues, service providers and partners.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:

• Responsible to make sure that each property is managed throughout its lifetime including safety, compliance, maintenance and improvement to ensure a safe and operational environment for the business, colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
• Implement relevant property management innovations, digital and technical solutions that meet the needs of the business and the many people
• Responsible to optimize the efficiency of each property in a sustainable way
• Ensure that colleagues, service providers and external partners have up-to-date awareness and understanding of all FM frameworks, guidelines and initiatives
• Responsible for all activities related to long term planning, budget estimation, execution, follow up, forecasting and reporting within the FM scope within the unit
• Implement and evaluate supplier contracts at unit level in alignment with internal governance structure for supplier contracts to improve efficiencies/costs/equipment and quality
• Responsible for managing and coordinating external suppliers on unit level
• Manage relationships with business owners within the unit to ensure business needs are met by collecting requirements, setting annual goals and periodic follow ups
• Responsible for developing the team’s competence, performance and ensuring a succession plan in the unit
