Job summary

ABB is seeking an Engineering professional to plan and execute Local Business Line turbine control projects. You will coordinate across disciplines, support testing and commissioning, and ensure adherence to safety and contract requirements.

The role involves collaboration with suppliers and other functions to optimize costs and schedules. You will work in a hybrid setup, travel internationally if needed, and communicate in English and Italian.

Qualifications

Degree or technical diploma in Electrical or Automation Engineering with 3+ years in turbine control or industrial automation.
Experience with automation/electrical products in Oil & Gas and/or Power Generation domains; turbine OEMs a plus.
Strong background in automation systems: DCS, I&C, and protection.
General understanding of networks/IT, PC handling, Windows, cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

Coordinate engineering disciplines across Turbine projects and provide testing, installation, and commissioning support.
Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and prepare project documents.
Improve work plans with other functions and communicate requirements to suppliers.
Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals and ensure fit-for-purpose equipment/services.
Develop, apply standard techniques and ensure safety and contractual compliance.
Prepare proposals with BOMs and engineering hours; create work plans and cost estimates.
Review scope, budget, and schedule to deliver quality results on time and on cost.
