TXT Group seeks a trainee Avionics Software Engineer to join the Aerospace & Defence Unit, focusing on integrating and developing flight simulation components.

The internship lasts 6 months, on-site in Italy, with hands-on experience in C/C++ and cross-platform OS work, plus English communication and structured problem solving. This is a formal internship opportunity to start a career in aerospace software.

TXT Group is looking for a new resource to be trained as an Avionics Software Engineer, who will be placed in the Aerospace & Defence Unit. The candidate will join the integration and development team linked to miliary flight training simulators.

Main activities

• Analysis and definition of requirements, according to aircraft specifications.
• Modular system development.
• Creation of format videos available for the pilot inside the cockpit.
• Integration with other components of the aircraft and simulators.
• Validation tests bound to the customer.
• Customer support for the delivery to the end user.

Required Technical Skills

• Good general programming logic.
• C and C++ as main programming languages.
• Knowledge of operating Systems, specifically Windows and Linux.
• B2 written and spoken English level.

Knowledge of general aviation systems will be a plus.

Required Education Level

Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Computer science- related faculties.

The profile is completed by willingness to work in team, mental flexibility, attitude for adaptation, desire to deal with complex systems and problems in a structured manner, orientation towards software development activities and a commitment to continuous personal improvement and technical training on the job.
