Elemaster Group Electronic Technologies, through Eletech Innovation in Electronics, is seeking a TEST ENGINEERING HW TEAM LEADER to coordinate hardware development within Test Engineering. You will manage a team, align with the roadmap, and assure delivery on schedule and budget.

The role requires a degree in electronic engineering or related field, 5+ years in testing solutions for electronics, and hands-on expertise in analog/digital design, NI tools, and collaboration with suppliers.

Competenze

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering / Mechatronics / Automation / Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing testing solutions for electronic devices.
  • Hardware development experience for industrial electronic systems, automated test equipment or similar environments.
  • Experience leading technical teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project activities.
  • Experience managing external suppliers, contractors and partners.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronic design.
  • Experience with electronic design and schematic capture tools.
  • Understanding of hardware integration, validation and production release processes.
  • Results-oriented with accountability for project execution.
  • Excellent communication with technical and managerial stakeholders.
  • Structured problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment with multiple parallel projects.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into development plans.
  • Knowledge of design-for-manufacturing and industrialization is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NI TestStand and LabVIEW, Python.

Mansioni

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of the Hardware Development team and align with the roadmap defined with the Test Engineering Manager.
  • Monitor workload, progress and project execution to meet schedules and budgets.
  • Identify bottlenecks and risks, proposing corrective actions.

TEST ENGINEERING HW TEAM LEADER

Mission:
  • The Hardware Development Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the hardware development activities within the Test Engineering organization, ensuring project objectives are achieved in terms of schedule, cost, quality, and technical performance. The role acts as the primary technical and operational reference for the hardware development team and for the extended network of developers contributing to Test Engineering projects.
Department:
  • Test Engineering in the International Design Center for the development and maintenance of Test Equipment for manufacturing.
Job Description:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Hardware Development team, communicating priorities and execution plans based on the roadmap defined with the Test Engineering Manager.
  • Monitor workload, progress, and project execution to ensure commitments are met within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks, risks, and resource constraints, proposing and implementing corrective actions when required.
  • Foster effective collaboration among internal resources, external suppliers, consultants, and partner organizations involved in project execution.
  • Ensure hardware development activities are delivered according to project requirements, quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Monitor project scope and proactively identify scope changes or deviations from baseline requirements.
  • Communicate scope changes and their potential impacts to Project Managers and the Test Engineering Manager.
  • Support the Test Engineering Manager in resource planning, allocation, and prioritization across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Provide visibility on project status and workload distribution
  • Actively contribute to critical development activities and provide hands-on technical support when required.
  • Guide the team through technical challenges, design reviews, validation activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Promote the adoption of engineering best practices, development standards, and company procedures.
  • Collect feedback from team members and project stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Capture, document, and promote lessons learned from completed projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of Test Engineering methodologies and tools.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering / Mechatronics / Automation / Information Technology or equivalent culture.
  • Previous experience of at least 5 years in the development of testing solutions dedicated to electronic devices.
  • Proven experience in hardware development for industrial electronic systems, automated test equipment, or similar engineering environments.
  • Experience leading technical teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project activities.
  • Experience managing external suppliers, contractors, and engineering partners
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronic design.
  • Experience with electronic design and schematic capture tools.
  • Solid understanding of hardware integration, validation, and production release processes.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong accountability for project execution.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and managerial stakeholders.
  • Structured problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple parallel projects and stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective development plans.
  • Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing and industrialization principles is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of programming languages and environments: National Instrument TestStand and LabView, Python
  • SW & HW development and lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of National Instruments test and measurement systems.
