Job summary

Burgess Recruitment seeks an experienced Temp Deckhand for a 60m+ motor yacht joining in Italy. The role is temporary with a chance to become permanent, requiring solid seamanship, guest interaction, tender driving, varnishing and caulking skills.

Start is flexible around November 15 with a December 24 end date if not made permanent, and includes 38 days of annual leave and full health insurance. Candidates must hold all relevant certificates, have at least 2 years on similar vessels, and

Qualifications

• All relevant certificates in hand and up to date.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a deckhand on similar sized vessels.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience on deck including guest interactions, tender driving, varnishing, caulking.

Responsibilities

• Be on deck, support guests and crew, and maintain vessel presentation.
• Operate tender and perform deck maintenance tasks as required.

This is a temp position with the possibility of turning permanent

The ideal candidate will be confident on deck, ready to jump in and have great seamanship skills.

Requirements:

• All relevant certificates in hand and up to date
• At least 2 years’ experience as a deckhand on similar sized vessels
• Strong work ethic is essential & able to work collaboratively within a team
• Strong on deck - guest interactions, tender driving, varnishing, caulking etc.
• Schengen/EU passport & B1/B2 Visa essential

Start date: Flexible- November 15

End date: December 24 (if not made perm)

Joining Location: Italy

Salary: USD 3750

Annual leave : 38 days

Itinerary & vessel: Private/Charter vessel- in the med, Atlantic Crossing before Bahamas
