A leading recruitment firm seeks an experienced Telecoms Engineer for a full-time position in Milan, Italy, on a 12-month renewable contract. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in the telecoms discipline, with a minimum of 5 years in offshore projects. Responsibilities include reviewing telecom systems, preparing technical evaluations, and supporting installation and commissioning processes. Familiarity with industry standards and documentation management is essential.

My Client is a large international EPCM who are working on a project in Libya. Due to expansion, the Client is searching for a Telecoms Engineer for a 12‑month renewable contract to be based in Milan, Italy where the Feed stage is being executed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a specific discipline
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of offshore experience
• Experience in design, engineering and construction projects

Responsibilities

• Review Telecoms system, technical specifications, data sheets and drawings
• Ensure drawings meet industry standards
• Prepare Telecom equipment material requisitions and technical bid evaluations
• Prepare FATs and supervise installation and commissioning
• Troubleshoot and support plant operations with system upgrades and configuration changes
• Maintain telecom documentation including network diagrams
• Be familiar with PAGA, CCTV, IP networking, fibre optics and structured cabling
