A major energy consulting firm is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to join their team in Milan, Italy. The role involves supporting telecoms and communications for a major offshore project, including design review, technical coordination, and installation support. Candidates should have over 10 years of telecom engineering experience in energy sectors, and a degree in a relevant field. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a long-term energy development initiative.

Competenze

• 10+ years of experience in telecom engineering within oil & gas, offshore, EPC, or major energy projects.
• Strong experience with offshore or industrial telecom systems.
• Experience reviewing vendor packages and engineering specifications.

• Reviewing telecom engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
• Supporting systems including PA/GA, CCTV, fibre optics, structured cabling, telephony and radio communications.
• Coordinating telecom interfaces with other engineering disciplines.

Overview

Ably Resources is supporting a major international energy project with the appointment of an experienced Telecom Engineer to join its team in Milan, Italy.

This is a key engineering role supporting telecoms and communications scope across a complex offshore development. The successful candidate will be involved in design review, technical coordination, vendor package review, installation support, testing and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing telecom engineering deliverables and technical documentation
• Supporting systems including PA/GA, CCTV, fibre optics, structured cabling, telephony and radio communications
• Coordinating telecom interfaces with other engineering disciplines
• Supporting installation, testing, integration and commissioning activities
• Working with contractors, vendors and project stakeholders to maintain technical quality and delivery alignment

Candidate profile

• Degree-qualified in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering discipline
• 10+ years’ experience in telecom engineering within oil & gas, offshore, EPC or major energy projects
• Strong experience with offshore or industrial telecom systems
• Experience reviewing vendor packages and engineering specifications
• FAT/SAT, testing and commissioning exposure is desirable
• Fluent written and spoken English

The role is based in Milan and offers the opportunity to join a major long-term energy development.
