Job summary

Amdocs in Rome, Italy, is seeking a Graduate/Entry-Level Software Support Engineer to join our global Telecom and service delivery teams. Based at our Rome site, you will help implement and support customer solutions, focusing on software adaptors, drivers and integration work.

You will configure, test, and deploy software upgrades, provide remote and onsite technical support, and assist with presales demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Coding capabilities in one language (C, C++, Java or equivalent).
• Excellent social skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
• Experience with Unix and SQL.
• Proactive and fits into a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work under pressure with several ongoing projects.
• Fluent in Italian.
• Adequate level of English, including reading, writing and speaking.
• Based in Italy.

Responsibilities

• Develop software adaptors and drivers per customer requirements and telecom designs.
• Install, configure and support customer solutions.
• Support testing and deployment of software upgrade releases.
• Provide technical support remotely and onsite.
• Assist presales and demonstrations with technical expertise.
