ABB Oy is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to collaborate with global specialists to drive innovation in energy transition and decarbonization initiatives.

The role involves developing technical frameworks, conducting feasibility studies, and benchmarking technologies while supporting academia and internal teams across a hybrid, agile environment. Travel internationally up to 20–30% of the time will be required.

Competenze

• 5+ years of industrial R&D experience.
• Degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline (Energy Systems, Electrical Engineering).
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience with research collaborations, particularly with academia.
• Knowledge of energy systems, power electronics, microgrids, and emerging fuel technologies is a plus.
