ABB’s Energy Industries Division seeks an engineer to support commissioning activities across projects worldwide. You’ll evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, provide technical support during testing and commissioning, and help prepare deliverables within scope while ensuring safety and contract alignment.

Travel up to 25% and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to deliver quality solutions.

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Energy, Computer Science) with basic experience in automation software configuration.
• High school technical diploma (Electronics, telecommunication) with initial experience.
• Knowledge of information technology and MS Office (Word, Excel, formulas & pivot).
• Knowledge of process automation: sensors and control elements, P&ID, control diagrams.
• Electrical knowledge: reading and implementing control cabinet schemes.
• Ability to organize and work in a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and abroad.
• Fluency in English and Italian.

• Identifying potential Hazards and reports to Site management.
• Assisting customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables.
• Assisting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings interact with customer on request.
• Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers.
• Using standard processes and procedures to ensure all commissioning activities comply with the required safety regulations and satisfy contractual requirements.
• Reporting processes and tool inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.
• Improving effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Energy, Computer Science) with basic experience in automation software configuration or
• High school technical diploma (Electronics, telecommunication) with initial experience.
• Knowledge of the information technology, experience and comfort using Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, experience and comfort using some of the most popular Office programs, such as those used to create word, excel (formulas & pivot).
• Knowledge of process automation: sensor & control elements system/subsystem, experience and comfort on various approach to control engineering strategies using & understanding the necessary input (e.g. P&ID, signal list, functional control diagram).
• Knowledge of Human Machine: comfort in the understanding of graphic Interfaces that represent the control system such design from P&ID.
• Electrical knowledge: reading, understanding and implementing (if needed) modification in control cabinet functional schemes.
• Ability to organize and work in team.
• Availability to travel domestically and abroad up to 25% of time during commissioning phases.
• Time-management and you are at ease communicating in English and Italian.

Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: 36.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
