Job summary

DEC Italia, based in Palestrina near Rome, is seeking a Technical Sales Draughtsperson to join its design and sales team. You will combine drawing and design skills with quotation preparation and client relationship management.

Responsibilities include developing technical drawings, analysing specifications, preparing offers, supporting the sales network, and coordinating with production and the technical department to drive orders from inquiry to contract closing.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or technical degree required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong AutoCAD (or CAD/BIM) knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.

Since 2003, DEC Italia has been working in Palestrina (Rome) alongside architects, buyers, general contractors and companies to fit out offices, hotels and public spaces. We select products from leading Italian and international furniture brands, distribute brands exclusively in Italy, and create custom-made solutions.

The role

To grow our team, we are looking for a Technical Sales Draughtsperson: a precise and dynamic person able to combine drawing and design skills, quotation preparation and client relationship management.

What you’ll do

• Develop technical drawings and design solutions
• Analyse specifications and client requests, checking technical feasibility
• Prepare quotations and commercial offers
• Provide technical support to the sales network
• Manage contacts with clients, designers, suppliers and international partners
• Coordinate with production and the technical department
• Manage orders and follow up on offers through to contract closing

Requirements

• Technical high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD/BIM software)
• Ability to work with 2D and 3D drawings
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
• Precision, organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Languages

• English at B2/C1 level, written and spoken
• Polish: a strong preference, as you will work closely with our partners in Poland

Nice to have

• Knowledge of 3D modelling software
• Experience in preparing complex offers
• Knowledge of the construction, furniture, design or contract sector
• Experience in structured companies or technical/design firms
• Knowledge of a third foreign language

What we offer
