Hostinger is seeking a System Engineer to design, run, and evolve infrastructure that powers millions of websites worldwide. The role involves collaborating with other engineers, building automation, and shaping system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new features to improve hosting platform speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Deploy and run infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Operate and observe systems through real metrics and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Refine and tune systems to eliminate bottlenecks and simplify complexity.
• Improve monitoring and alerting to detect problems early.
• Share knowledge and review code with peers to raise engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Linux OS (3+ years).
• Proficiency with Ansible for automation.
• Programming or scripting skills in Python or Go (preferred both).
• Experience managing and optimizing web servers, databases, and caching systems.
• Comfort with cloud platforms such as GCP.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals – DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP.
• Experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with DevOps practices and open-source contributions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools beyond GitHub Actions.
• Ability to read Go and PHP code.
• RHCSA or RHCE certifications.
