HCLTech is seeking a Senior System, DevOps & Software Engineer in Milan to design, build, and support scalable cloud-native platforms using microservices and Kubernetes. You will develop and automate CI/CD pipelines, manage hybrid infrastructure, and ensure robust Linux environments.

The role emphasizes IaC, container orchestration, and collaboration within Agile teams to drive digital transformation for Telco & Media clients.

Competenze

• 10-12+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related roles.
• Experience with REST APIs and Event-Driven Systems.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient in Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Infrastructure as Code and DevOps automation.

Job Title: Senior System, DevOps & Software Engineer

Role Summary

Are you passionate about building scalable cloud-native platforms, driving DevOps transformation, and delivering high-quality software solutions? We are looking for an experienced Senior System, DevOps & Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge Telco & Media consulting and systems integration projects.

In this role, you will work on designing, implementing, and supporting modern application architectures based on Microservices, Cloud Native, Kubernetes, and GitOps principles, helping customers accelerate their digital transformation journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
• Architect and implement cloud-native applications and microservices-based platforms.
• Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10-12+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with:
• REST APIs and Event-Driven Systems
• Docker and Kubernetes
• AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform
• Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Infrastructure as Code and DevOps Automation
• Strong Linux administration and networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, Load Balancers).
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software delivery best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant cloud, DevOps, or Kubernetes certifications are highly valued.
• Previous experience within the Telecommunications, Media, or Cloud Services industry is preferred.
