Norwegian Cruise Line is seeking an experienced shipyard inspector to perform daily inspections on the Owner’s behalf according to the shipyard schedule. You will follow up open items with Yard teams, report to the Sr Manager, HVAC-R, and coordinate with the operating company during inspection and commissioning.

The role requires 5 years in a similar maritime position, strong English skills (B1+), and proven teamwork and communication abilities to support vessel project development and sea

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct daily inspections on the Owner’s behalf in accordance with the shipyard schedule
• Follow up open items from the construction process with the Yard representatives and attend meetings with the Yard technical office and production teams for defects and remarks discussion and resolution
• Report to the Sr Manager, HVAC-R with reference to the progress of the production, the status of the open items and any main open issues
• Cooperate with the operating company team at the Yard during the inspection and commissioning period
• Take part in the sea trials
• Support the operating company after the Vessel delivery to follow up open items coming from the construction and commissioning period and/or to complete part of the commissioning after delivery
• Support the HVAC-R team for specific topics relevant to the Vessel project development
• Take part in FAT on Owner’s behalf
• Patrolling activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• DEGREE TYPE: High School Diploma
• FIELD(S) OF STUDY:
• Maritime
• EXPERIENCE 5 years within a similar role
• COMPETENCIES/SKILLS Confident using Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in the English Language (B1 or above) Demonstratable Team Working Skills Excellent Communication Skills Problem Solving Skills Ability to Manage and Build Relationships Time Management
