Job summary

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Vessel Electrical & IT Inspector for the Marghera, Italy project. You will work with yard and operating company teams to ensure contractual and technical specs are met, participate in sea trials, and support post-delivery commissioning.

Requirements include a High School Diploma with Maritime background and at least 2 years in a similar role. Proficiency in English (B1+) and strong communications and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections on the Owner’s behalf per shipyard schedule.
• Follow up open items with Yard reps; attend meetings for defects and remarks.
• Report progress to the Director Electric & Automation Systems.
• Coordinate with operating company during inspection and commissioning.
• Participate in sea trials.
• Support after vessel delivery to close open items and assist commissioning.
• Assist Electric & IT teams on vessel development topics.
• Participate in FAT on Owner’s behalf.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Using their essential experience within electric & IT systems, the role holder shall provide all the necessary inputs needed to ensure the proper execution of the project in the correct construction. Working with numerous teams, the role holder will undertake daily inspections of the vessel ensuring that the Manager is kept up to date with the projects progress. They will work closely with the operating company team during both the inspection and commissioning period, ensuring that all contractual, and technical, specifications are met.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections on the Owner’s behalf in accordance with the shipyard schedule
• Follow up open items from the construction process with the Yard representatives and attend meetings with the Yard technical office and production teams for defects and remarks discussion and resolution
• Report to the Dir Electric & Automat System with reference to the progress of the production, the status of the open items and potential main open issues
• Cooperate with the operating company team at the Yard during the inspection and commissioning period
• Take part in the sea trials
• Support the operating company after the Vessel delivery to follow up open items coming from the construction and commissioning period and/or to complete part of the commissioning after delivery
• Support the Electric & IT team for specific topics relevant to the Vessel project development
• Participate in FAT on Owner’s behalf
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Maritime
• EXPERIENCE: 2 years within a similar role.
