Job summary

PRAZI-PARTS Srl in Ostiglia (MN), Italy, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to build our Supply Chain function from the ground up and oversee purchasing, planning, logistics and warehousing. You will coordinate strategic purchasing, supplier management, cost reductions and KPI development to improve operations and ERP utilization.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing supply chain, strong analytical skills, fluent English (German a plus), and the ability to work in a small manufacturing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain roles within manufacturing companies.
• Experience in purchasing/procurement, supplier management, negotiation and cost reduction.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and Excel.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and carry out strategic purchasing and material planning activities, ensuring production continuity and on-time delivery.
• Pro-actively manage suppliers, negotiations, purchasing conditions and lead times.
• Plan and deliver required cost reduction initiatives for direct and indirect materials.
• Supervise Logistics, Shipping and Warehouse activities, providing guidelines and priorities.
• Coordinate priorities between Supply Chain and Production, addressing delays and critical issues.
• Develop and implement Supply Chain and Purchasing KPIs to improve processes and the company ERP system.

Job description

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our Italian manufacturing plant in Ostiglia (MN) and play an important role in building our Supply Chain function step by step.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, making decisions and seeing the direct results of their work. With two direct reports, the role works closely with Production, Sales and Industrial Engineering and has a strong operational focus on strategic Purchasing and Material Planning, while supervising Logistics, Shipping and Warehouse activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate and carry out strategic purchasing and material planning activities, ensuring production continuity and on-time delivery.
• Pro-actively manage suppliers, negotiations, purchasing conditions and lead times.
• Plan and deliver required cost reduction initiatives for direct and indirect materials.
• Supervise Logistics, Shipping and Warehouse activities, providing guidelines and priorities.
• Coordinate priorities between Supply Chain and Production, addressing delays and critical issues.
• Develop and implement Supply Chain and Purchasing KPIs to improve processes and the company ERP system.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain roles within manufacturing companies, preferably in the metalworking industry and in international companies.
• Good experience in purchasing/procurement, supplier management, negotiation and cost reduction.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and Excel.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a small manufacturing environment.
• Practical, proactive and results-oriented approach.

What we offer:

• Employment contract in accordance with the Italian CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria. The type and duration of the employment contract will be determined based on the candidate’s profile.
• Annual gross salary of €40,000 - 50,000, plus MBO and meal vouchers.
