Job summary

Vertiv in Piove di Sacco, Italy seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer with 1-3 years experience to develop and improve the supplier base through quality management and audits. You will maintain relationships with suppliers, pursue PPAPs, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, Sales and Plants Quality.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of quality tools, and the ability to lead audits and PPAP activities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer role.
• Experienced with problem solving tools and techniques (8-D, 5 Whys, SCAR, Fishbone, Pareto, Six Sigma, PPAP).
• Can manage multiple tasks by based on priority, difficulty and severity.
• Background in applying statistical tools for process and product development and control (Gage R&R, Process Capability, SPC, PFMEA).

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead supplier performance improvement with NPDI/PPAP, and mass production.
• Address supplier nonconformances with robust QC plans and corrective actions.
• Drive permanent resolution of supplier issues reported by Vertiv facilities and customers.
• Lead and own PPAP requirements for changes.
• Lead problem definition and containment with root-cause analysis and SCAR.
• Develop root cause analysis and supplier reports; communicate outcomes.
