Job Description:
Job Duties
- Evaluation, selection, and qualification of new suppliers, as well as ongoing monitoring of existing suppliers.
- Support strategies to outsource manufacturing.
- Conducting audits at suppliers to ensure quality standards and process capability.
- Developing and implementing measures to improve supplier quality in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Analysing quality issues, root cause analysis, and initiating corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitoring supplier quality key metrics and implementing action plans based on data analysis.
- Managing 8D problem-solving procedures to address quality issues effectively.
- Overseeing the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) to ensure supplier parts meet quality requirements.
- Contribute to the global supplier auditing process to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Managing supplier relationships and fostering collaboration for quality improvement.
- Participating in supplier meetings and negotiating quality agreements.
- Supporting Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) activities related to quality.
- Facilitating quality circles with suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
- Supporting supplier development initiatives and risk management strategies.
- Working with functional teams to establish supplier key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assisting in developing supply chain risk mitigation plans.
- Working with functional teams to determine the root cause of critical issues and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Minimum Requirements for Job
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Five years’ experience in supplier quality, ideally in automotive, electronics, or mechanical engineering industries.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Solid knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949), Six Sigma, SPC, and failure analysis tools.
- Proven experience in supplier auditing, development, and risk management.
- Familiarity with KPI monitoring, data analysis, and action planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Experience with supplier relationship management and project management skills.
- Good knowledge of the English language is mandatory to perform the job.
