Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY ITALY S.P.A. seeks an Electrical engineer for service and commissioning of substations in Italy, based in Rome area. You will manage HV protection systems and SCADA/RTU testing, coordinate with sites and third-party teams, and contribute to safe, on-time project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 80% travel, and fluency in Italian and English. FAT/SAT participation and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in P&C site commissioning of substations.
• Experience with test devices, Omicron and ISA.
• Proven experience on Hitachi Microscada and RTU560.
• Knowledge of PLC automation commissioning.
• Knowledge of IEC104/101 and 61850 protocols.
• Knowledge of networking.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and commissioning activities at customer sites.
• Adhere to commissioning schedule and safety requirements.
• Produce progress reports and obtain client sign-off.
• Coordinate with site manager and third-party providers.
• Attend FAT and SAT as required.
