Experteer Italy is seeking a finance professional to structure, finance and close project and structured finance transactions for a growing renewable energy and storage portfolio. You will collaborate with investment, M&A, development and finance teams to engage lenders and institutional investors, driving financing solutions across the full project lifecycle.

You’ll build detailed financial models, evaluate debt structures and support due diligence, term sheets and facility agreements.

Competenze

• 3–6 years of relevant experience within project finance, structured finance or renewable energy finance.
• Experience with IPP/renewable energy developers, infrastructure investors or banks is preferred.
• Strong financial modelling capabilities and understanding of debt sizing and project cash flows.

In this role you will help structure, finance and close project and structured finance transactions for a growing renewable energy and storage portfolio. You will collaborate with investment, M&A, development and finance teams to engage lenders and institutional investors, driving financing solutions across the full project lifecycle. You’ll build detailed financial models and assess diverse debt structures to optimize returns and capital structure. This role offers ownership of financing execution and visibility into senior management across a fast-growing IPP environment.

• Support the structuring, execution and closing of project finance and structured finance transactions across renewable energy and BESS projects
• Build, maintain and review detailed financial models covering debt sizing, project returns, sensitivities and financing scenarios
• Evaluate financing structures including senior project finance debt, construction, acquisition, HoldCo/portfolio, refinancing, bridge facilities, corporate and structured debt
• Prepare lender materials, financing presentations, information packs and internal investment papers
• Manage and coordinate financing due diligence across technical, legal, tax, insurance and commercial workstreams
• Review and support negotiation of term sheets, facility agreements and other financing documentation
• Collaborate with internal M&A and investment teams to assess financing assumptions for acquisitions
• Support financing of projects from development through construction and into operations
• Analyse project economics including power prices, PPAs, merchant exposure, CAPEX, OPEX and debt capacity
• Monitor existing financing arrangements, covenant compliance and refinancing opportunities
• Develop and maintain relationships with European banks, debt funds, advisers and other financing partners
• Support senior management in developing the group’s broader financing and capital structure strategy
• Approximately 3–6 years' relevant experience within project finance, structured finance, infrastructure finance or renewable energy
• Experience in IPP/renewable energy developer, infrastructure investor, investment bank, bank, debt fund or advisory business
• Strong financial modelling capabilities and confidence with complex project finance models
• Previous transaction experience within renewable energy, power or infrastructure
• Understanding of project finance structures, debt sizing, DSCR, sensitivities and project-level cash flows
• Exposure to financing documentation and lender due diligence processes
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement
• Ability to manage several transaction workstreams simultaneously
• Strong communication skills with lenders, advisers and senior stakeholders
• Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset for a growing IPP environment
• Fluent English; Italian language skills would be highly advantageous
