Strategic Project Buyer: Sourcing & Procurement

GEA Group in Italy seeks an experienced procurement professional to drive new projects and supplier sourcing from requisition to invoice management. You will manage purchase orders, clarify supplier issues, and support MI/AI-driven procurement improvements, ensuring cost, quality and on-time delivery.

Key collaboration with R&D, Strategic Buyers and Operations, with responsibilities spanning RFQs, supplier selection, BOM costing and project sourcing.

Competenze

• Experience in operational procurement roles.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Experience with AI tool implementation is welcome.
• Willingness to travel for short business trips.
• Ownership and accountability for outcomes.

Mansioni

• Process purchase orders and follow expediting when needed.
• Clarify issues with requestors and suppliers.
• Provide feedback to Category Managers when requisitions fall outside framework agreements.
• Serve as first point of contact with vendors for daily operations.
• Support invoice verification and resolve mismatches where needed.
• Coordinate and control material shipments and supplier performance.
• Support project-related procurement activities and strategic sourcing.
