Job summary

KONE in Cadrezzate con Osmate (VA), Italy, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join the Global Direct Material Europe team. You will focus on direct material procurement for Modernization and the Control Systems and Networks Solutions & Devices categories.

The role requires strong negotiation, supplier management, and cross‑functional collaboration with Engineering, R&D and Operations. Fluent English and Italian are required; travel is expected. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering, supply chain management, or business.
• At least 3 years of procurement experience.
• Experience leading supplier negotiations.
• Fluent in English and Italian; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all procurement activities including supplier contracts, price negotiations and RFQ management for own area.
• Act as contract owner for direct material suppliers and support global/area category plans.
• Identify and drive cost savings initiatives to support profitability.
• Manage supplier quality and on-time delivery with stakeholders.
• Report monthly KPIs and manage budgets, forecasts and savings.
• Drive cross-functional cost reduction with Engineering, R&D and Operations.
