Job summary

KONE Purchasing is seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Specialist to join the Projects and Modernization Purchasing team in Europe. The role focuses on direct materials procurement for Modernization, Control Systems and Networks Solutions & Devices categories, within a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years’ work experience in procurement.
• Experience in leading supplier negotiations and managing supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of electrification and/or electronics supply markets is an asset.
• Ability to work independently in a multinational environment.
• Fluent English and Italian; other languages are an asset.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities including supplier contracts, price negotiations, and RFQ management.
• Act as contract owner for direct material suppliers and support global/area category plans.
• Identify and drive cost savings initiatives to support profitability.
• Manage supplier quality and on-time delivery with stakeholders.
• Report monthly KPIs and manage budgets, forecasts, and savings.
• Drive cross-functional cost reduction with Engineering, R&D, and Operations.
• Support cost-saving initiatives across the product lifecycle.

Education

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field
