CMRE in La Spezia, Italy, is seeking a Budget & Finance Specialist to lead budget development, forecasts and financial planning for NATO’s maritime research centre. You will analyze inputs, monitor execution, and prepare reports supporting year-end statements.

The role requires at least 3 years in accounting or budgeting, Excel and ERP experience (Oracle Financial), and knowledge of international financial regulations.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, budgeting, financial management or auditing.
• Sound knowledge of financial regulations governing an international organisation or a public sector entity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial spreadsheets.
• Good working knowledge of financial and ERP systems, such as ORACLE Financial or related corporate platforms.

Mansioni

• Contribute to budgeting, rates, budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Review inputs and liaise with project managers for additional or modified input as required.
• Monitor and report activity; analyze budget expenditure trends and prepare monthly reports.
• Coordinate accruals, commitments, and year-end notes for financial statements.
• Develop short- and medium-range financial forecasts and data visualisations for management.
• Support project managers in developing cost metrics for new proposals.
• Provide high-level financial advice to the Head of Finance and senior managers.
• Assist auditors during financial inspections and reviews.
