Leica Microsystems, a Danaher company, seeks a Sr Field Service Engineer in Padova to service, repair and install advanced microscopy systems across Northern Italy. The role requires a engineering degree, fluency in English and Italian, and travel up to 70% within the region.

You will collaborate with sales and service teams, delivering professional support under a competitive compensation package including a potential bonus.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Engineer Degree or equivalent required.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Excellent Microsoft Office application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Italy (up to 70%).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Mansioni

• Delight customers through timely and competent response to their needs, coupled with clear communication; collaborate with the Service Team to provide professional after-sales service in the region.
• Support Sales Representatives in activities such as installations and demo/exhibitions.
• Conduct service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, per maintenance contracts (focus on Medical Microscopy).
• Respond to customer support calls within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose system failures and determine cost-effective solutions.
• Escalate complex issues to higher levels of technical support or quality reporting; help identify new opportunities in the field.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Delight customers through timely and competent response to their needs, coupled with clear communication & Collaborate closely with the Service Team to ensure all customers in the region are provided a professional after-sales service.
• Support Sales Representatives in activities such as installations and demo/exhibitions.
• Conducts service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts (main focus in Medical Microscopy and Compound/Stereo Microscopy)
• Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory.
• Diagnoses system failures and determines most cost-effective solution.
• Escalates complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system & Help our organization grow by high quality support of our existing customers and by helping us identify new customers and opportunities during your time in the field

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s Engineer Degree Required or similar & Fluent in English and Italian
• Excellent Microsoft Office application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to travel within the Triveneto Region and eventually to the rest of Regions in Italy. (Up to 70% travel)
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment & tools.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in Confocal systems (maintenance and repairs).
• Handling repairs, calibrations, upgrades and allied tasks.
• Networking, influencing, and communicating effectively across functions and at all levels.
• Training and/or coaching experience.

Other information

This role is classified under the applicable CCNL as second-level employee under the Commercio CBA , which defines minimum terms, job classification, and baseline progression frameworks. The expected gross annual salary range for this role is € 43.000 - € 57.000 , determined based on objective criteria such as experience, skills, and role-related competencies. This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay. This is the target earnings as 10 % of base annual salary, subject to objective eligibility criteria and performance conditions as set out in the applicable scheme terms and conditions.
